A new DFW novel?

While the site was down for an extended period a few weeks back word got around for an event held in Italy last year where a number of authors got together to read and discuss their fiction, DFW was there. For long time DFW fans it comes as no surprise to hear he is working on something a bit longer than short fiction.
Over the past few years DFW has read excerpts of pieces he's referred to as part of something bigger. The reading for le conversazioni last year was titled "Untitled Excerpt from Something Longer That Isn't Even Close to Halfway Finished Yet." (In fact, it was also printed and distributed in a booklet... I'd be VERY keen to get a look at it if anyone out there has it and access to a scanner/photocopier).

Back in 2000 DFW appeared in the Lannan Readings and Conversations series and read 4 things, 3 awesome fragments of  unpublished material (when I last listened in 2002) and Incarnations of Burned Children. Could his recent extended piece be one of these? At the beginning of this recording he speaks of almost having a 'recipe for a brick' in his pocket and two of the fragments being from something larger.

I'm about to have another listen now, I can't remember if any of the fragments have appeared anywhere subsequently, which is why I am keen. Thoughts?
